Automobile history
We can’t imagine how our world would look like without the sparkling invention called automobile.It was the most revolutionary thing ever created by men’s hand.Of course,the automobile ,as any other respectable invention,wasn’t created without the hard work of many people along the years.After some failing results and through many years it come out the beautiful vehicle that now takes us around the world.
The history of the automobile begins in the 14th century ,but only after Italians start building non-motorized vehicle,in the 19th century the word “automobile” start having a shape too.The first type of automobiles ,able to transport people ,were created in 1769 and they were called steam-powered automobiles.Later in 1806 appeard the first car that functioned with fuel gas.As the 20th century began, cars set in motion by electricity appeared but only for a brief length of time.The first cars produced in the world had French origins: Peugeut in 1891 and Panhard & Lavassor in1889.The event that won Peugeut’s credibility was a car race where it was the winner.Benz Velo had the first one the idea of standardize his manufactured cars and many after followed.In America the first car manufacturer was Ransome Eli Olds and was folloed by Henry Ford,who built his own car factory,”Ford’s Highland Park” in 1914.The first car Ford made has been called the “Quadricycle”.However,Henry Ford was truly successful after inventing the Model T ,which he multiplied in 15 milion models.Another successful car inventor was the german Karl Benz who started his production in 1888.
Taking a break during the World War II ,after peace come back, car production gained more weight.In 1949 was introduced for the first time the Cadillac brand and two years later Enzo Ferrari began his series of 250 .At the same time were created Alec Icssigonis’Mini and Fiat’s 500 smaller cars conquered Europe and for the first time until then, Japan .Then it was created the car that become a legend,Volkswagen Beetle and the luxury car Cadillac Eldorado Brougham.After 1964 a competition appeared between the new created Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet’s model, Camaro.Who won that competition,nobody knows because few years later ,after the oil crisis in 1973 ,many car producing companies appeared with new releases,such as BMW,Toyota,or Nissan and car were built with special designs ,in different colours and after a more aesthetical criteria,which finally lead to our modern car we now see every ,running on the streets.
